Description
Skillforce is seeking experienced Commercial Carpenters for ongoing interior and exterior buildout work on commercial new‑construction and remodel projects throughout the Greater Richmond, VA area. You will support day‑to‑day carpentry operations on office, retail, healthcare, industrial, and other commercial projects where precision, safety, and professionalism are expected on every job. Responsibilities: * Install and finish interior trim, millwork, doors, frames, and hardware in commercial settings. * Build and install cabinetry, countertops, baseboards, wall panels, and crown molding to high‑end specifications. * Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications to plan and sequence work. * Frame interior walls, install metal/wood studs, and hang drywall for commercial remodel and new‑build projects. * Safely operate hand and power tools, including miter saws, table saws, routers, drills, and nail guns, in accordance with OSHA standards. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and assist with site cleanup and material handling as needed. * Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to keep projects on schedule and deliver quality workmanship. Qualifications Required: * 3+ years of recent commercial carpentry experience (interior trim, doors/frames/hardware, framing, or buildout work) within the last 5 years. * Proven ability to perform precision finish work in occupied or high‑end commercial environments. * Ability to read and work from blueprints, layouts, and shop drawings with minimal supervision. * Proficient with basic hand tools and common power tools and able to work safely at heights and on ladders or scaffolding. * Reliable transportation to projects throughout the greater Richmond, VA area (jobs may be in the city or surrounding communities). * Ability to work legally in the United States and pass any job‑related background or drug screening consistent with applicable laws.
