JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Manager to oversee and manage various aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively supervise teams, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and HeavyBid.
  • Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
  • Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and estimating for commercial projects.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Excellent management skills with proven supervising experience in a construction setting.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating contracts and project performance.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Familiarity with pipeline construction processes is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning and execution of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid to ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
  • Review and analyze contracts to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Supervise on-site activities, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards and safety protocols.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee that work meets industry standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project tracking and documentation.
  • Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
