LA Design & Construction is a rapidly growing Residential and Commercial Construction company with offices in Pequannock and Hoboken. We are looking for a hard working, detailed oriented individual who has experience in commercial construction at a management level position. We are looking for someone who wants a career, not just a job.
This position will oversee the production and management of various commercial construction projects. Must have strong communication and organizational skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once. You must communicate clearly and deliberately with the customer so they know where the projects stands at all times and when work is scheduled. You must also resolve any conflicts that arise with the customer swiftly and with precision. The position will oversee and support the field staff and must be able to evaluate their skills and abilities as well as recognize areas of improvement and additional training. When issues or conflicts arise on a project, this individual will take a pragmatic approach and use strong problem-solving skills to bring the matter to a positive resolution. Lastly, you will also coordinate and communicate with subcontractors making sure they are correctly scheduled and their costs are within the project budget.
This is a management level management position who reports directly to the sales team/Sr PM’s to ensure all projects are being completed the way they were sold to the customer.
Responsibilities:
*Oversee daily activities of multiple projects to ensure productivity and maintain the job schedule and budget
*Meet with customers to provide updates, address concerns, and relay selections and vital information to the sales department.
*Obtain estimates from subcontractors prior to the commencement of work, negotiate pricing and ensure that their costs are within or under the project budget.
*Provide leadership and guidance to field staff on each project to maintain productivity
*Management of daily schedule and communication to field staff
*Purchasing of material to ensure all jobs have the necessary resources for both LA Staff
*Update job progress via SmartSheet daily, properly documenting with photos/documents as necessary
*Oversee subcontractors to ensure they are maintaining all company protocols and quality standards
*Take accurate measurements needed for special order items such doors, windows, appliances, etc. and order directly from vendors.
*Perform job site inspections and create punch lists for each project ensuring completion
*Utilize strong problem-solving abilities to come up with creative solutions to problems and barriers
*Monitor and enforce job site safety and identify threats and gaps that create liability issues.
*Communicate with Designer/Project Manager with the overall goal of completing projects on time, on budget, while exceeding customers expectations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
