Job Title: Commercial Cost Estimator
Location: Belfast
Responsible to: Plant Manager
Job Purpose:
Is to determine the costs associated with packaging RFQ’s & tenders for the self-adhesive label industry, ensuring projects are financially viable and competitive. This will involve cost estimating, post costing, commercial analysis and calculating both contribution and throughput margins using various tools. They will play a crucial role in bidding for new contracts and monitoring project costs to stay within budget.

· Cost Estimation:
Accurately estimating the cost of labour, materials, equipment, and other resources for commercial packaging projects.
· Risk Assessment:
Identifying and evaluating potential risks associated with a project and incorporating them into the cost estimate.
· Bidding and Tendering:
Preparing detailed cost proposals and bids for new projects.
· Budget Management:
Monitoring project costs during production to ensure they align with the initial estimates.
· Collaboration:
Working with all stakeholders to gather information and ensure accurate cost estimations.
· Material Procurement:
Assisting in the procurement of materials by providing cost information and specifications.
· Value Engineering:
Identifying opportunities to optimise costs without compromising the quality or functionality of the project.
