REQUIREMENTS & YOUR EXPERTISE

  • Completed degree in economics or business administration or commercial training
  • Proven experience in negotiations with customers and other contractual partners
  • Competence in bookkeeping and accounting required
  • Experience in project management and contract management is an advantage
  • Experience with complex industrial projects is an advantage
  • Fluent in German and English (minimum B2 level)
  • Willingness to travel domestically – this is a remote role but flexibility to travel to Berlin for meetings is required
  • Successful candidate must have eligibility to work in the EU, along with the outlined qualifications
Responsibilities

We are looking for a Commercial & Cost Management (m/f/d) to support an exciting HVDC grid connection project for an offshore wind farm, delivered in collaboration with our project partner — a leading German Transmission System Operator. You will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling all project-related variable cost items arising from the EPCI contract.

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Tracking all variable cost positions as defined in the EPCI contract, such as:
  • Indexations, cost-plus items, claims, variations, options, incentive mechanisms, etc.
  • Reviewing and validating supplier calculations and supporting documentation
  • Performing your own calculations and supporting contract negotiations
  • Coordinating with other internal disciplines to verify all cost items and amounts
  • Acting as the main project point of contact for invoicing and supplier payments
  • Reviewing incoming invoices for accuracy and compliance
  • Systematically processing payment approvals
  • Supporting the EPCI Management Team’s cost reporting activities
  • Providing input for internal controlling and forecasting, in coordination with relevant internal teams
