Description

About the company

McLanahan Corporation is a global provider of process solutions for a variety of industries including mineral processing, aggregate processing, agricultural and many others.

Upholding the highest standards for engineering and manufacturing, their equipment is known for its reliability and long service life. Through passion, innovation and a commitment to exceed customer expectations, they are continuously improving their equipment, designs and processes.

Since 1835, their core values of safety, family and integrity have been at the centre of everything they do.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Global Supply Chain, you will lead McLanahan’s regional supply chain team and oversee the activities that keep materials moving and customer commitments on track.

The role spans sourcing and procurement, supplier management, material planning, inventory, estimating support and domestic and international logistics.

Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Sales and Finance, you will align purchasing and material availability with production schedules and project requirements.

You will also work with global supply chain colleagues to improve processes and share best practice.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing the supply chain team.
  • Managing supplier relationships, performance, negotiations and commercial agreements.
  • Overseeing purchasing, material planning and inventory to support production and customer delivery.
  • Managing freight and logistics partners, including international shipments.
  • Monitoring supply chain performance, resolving issues and identifying improvements to cost, quality and delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate data and effective processes within Epicor and other business systems.

About you

You will bring at least five years’ experience in supply chain or a related role, ideally within manufacturing or heavy industry. You will have led a team, managed suppliers and built strong working relationships across a business.

You will also bring:

  • Sound knowledge of procurement, planning, inventory control and logistics.
  • Strong commercial judgement and supplier negotiation skills
  • The ability to balance competing priorities and solve operational problems.
  • Experience using an ERP system; Epicor experience would be an advantage.
  • A practical, collaborative approach to leadership and continuous improvement.

A relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance/Commerce or a related field would be valued, although equivalent experience will also be considered.

The benefits

  • Join an established international manufacturer with a long history in the industry.
  • Take ownership of a broad Australian supply chain function.
  • Work with both local operational teams and global colleagues.
  • Lead a team and have a direct impact on supply chain performance.
  • Central location at Cameron Park.
