SUMMARY

The Commercial Director, APAC is a key member of the CRM Asia Pacific Leadership Team, providing strategic leadership at the Area and Country level. Reporting to the Division Vice President, Commercial Asia Pacific and working closely with the respective functional leaders and country General Managers to set vision and strategy to deliver sales, margin and market share goals. Formulate, implement and execute short-term and long-term business plans for sustainable growth and market share development. This role leads a team based in Singapore, responsible for Commercial Excellence and Marketing in Asia Pacific.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary qualifications in biomedical / medical science, business, marketing or related field; MBA preferred.

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in commercial roles, with significant experience in a leadership position.
  • Medical device industry experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing Management with well-established global company, ideally in large market(s).
  • P&L and organizational leadership responsibilities strongly preferred.
  • Strategic planning and analytical skills – proven ability to identify business challenges and propose action plans.
  • Innovative and creative – demonstrate ability to leverage consumer insights to identify and evaluate creative ideas, focusing on those that will create sustainable competitive advantage.
  • High-energy, self-starter who is assertive, possesses a high degree of self-confidence and intellectual curiosity, exhibits a bias for action, demonstrates good executive presence, and has a high degree of commitment to meeting deadlines and objectives.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with all levels of management, the sales force and customers.
