Description
We are seeking a Commercial Director to join our growing commercial team. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager (Commercial), this role will partner closely with our Corporate Development and Origination (CDO) team to develop and implement commercial strategies inline with the RTS growth strategy. This role will suit someone with strong relationship-building and influencing skills.  Some of your accountabilities will include: * Leading the commercial function for all RTS bids, tenders, market pursuits, unsolicited proposals, joint ventures/consortiums and mergers/acquisitions.  * Providing expertise and advise on consortium, joint venture and partnering arrangements  * Pro-active risk and opportunity management, including governance and compliance with Downer policies  * Providing commercial leadership and expertise to the CDO leadership team * Leading deal negotiations from a commercial viewpoint This is a fulltime, permanent role, ideally based onsite in our Brisbane CBD office.   About You: * 10+ years demonstrated experience in contracts management * Previous experience in rollingstock/rail industry * Tertiary qualification in Law is preferable * Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence within a complex environment * Proven knowledge and understanding of broad range of deal frameworks * Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels   Our Culture: Downer is dedicated to nurturing our people personally and professionally through skills development, competitive benefits, career pathways and fostering a proudly diverse and supportive workplace culture.
