About the role This is a strategic FP&A leadership role with a core mandate to build, scale, and lead a high-performing commercial finance team. The role serves as the key finance business partner to the commercial and operations organizations, responsible for all aspects of financial planning, management reporting, performance analytics, and decision support. The ultimate objective is to drive profitable growth through world-class FP&A capabilities and a strong business partnering culture What you'll do 1. Financial Planning & Forecasting: · Lead the end-to-end planning cycle, including annual budgeting, quarterly rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic plans. · Develop dynamic forecasting models incorporating leading indicators (order intake, backlog, production capacity, raw material trends) to improve forecast accuracy. · Drive scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to assess business impact under varying market conditions 2. Management Reporting & Analytics: · Design and maintain a robust management reporting framework that delivers timely, actionable insights to senior leadership. · Develop executive-level dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to visualize revenue performance, gross margin trends, operating leverage, and working capital metrics. · Lead month-end business reviews, providing deep-dive analysis on variance drivers and recommend corrective actions. 3. Business Partnering & Decision Support · Serve as the strategic finance partner to Commercial and Operations leaders, influencing commercial strategies and resource allocation. · Evaluate ROI for key investments, including new product launches (NPI), customer acquisition, and capacity expansion. · Lead pricing analytics to optimize price realization and discount discipline across customer segments. 4. Cost & Margin Analysis · Partner with operations and supply chain to analyze manufacturing cost variances (material, labor, overhead) and their impact on gross margin. · Develop product-level profitability models to support portfolio optimization decisions. 5. FP&A Process & Systems Improvement · Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data integrity. · Champion the adoption of integrated planning tools to streamline budgeting and forecasting cycles. · Build a high-performing team, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and business curiosity. KPI Framework · Financial Results (30%): Revenue, Gross Margin, EBIT, SG&A control, free cash flow, working capital · FP&A Excellence (30%): Forecast accuracy, management reporting timelines & quality · Business partnership (30%): Costing support, Pricing & profitability, Investment support, shareholder management · Team & Process (10%): Team build, Talent development, Automation, system implementation Qualifications Education & Certification: · Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. · CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA qualifications are a strong plus. Experience: · 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5+ years in FP&A leadership roles within the manufacturing industry. · Proven experience in building, scaling, and leading finance teams in a complex, matrixed organization. · Experience leading FP&A transformation initiatives, including system implementation, process re-engineering, and automation. Technical Skills: · FP&A Expertise: Deep expertise in budgeting, rolling forecasting, long-range planning, scenarios modeling, and management reporting. Ability to design and implement multi-dimensional P&L structures. · Costing & Manufacturing Finance: Strong command of standard costing variance analysis, BOM costing, and product cost modeling. Experience with cost reduction programs and capacity planning. · Pricing & Commercial Finance: Proven experience in dynamic pricing models, customer profitability analysis and contract risk assessment. · Data analytics & Tools: Advanced Excel modeling. Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools. Experience with SQL or Python for data extraction is a plus.
