Develop and execute local go-to-market strategies that achieve sales, profitability, and growth objectives for Japan. Manage relationships with distributors, retailers, and e-commerce platforms to optimize product availability and sell-through. Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team to achieve ambitious goals. Identify new business opportunities and determine the best strategies to compete in the market. Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies. Forecast demand and manage sales planning in coordination with global supply chain and finance teams. Work cross-functionally to implement organized play initiatives and experiential activations to grow the player base. Serve as the senior representative of Wizards of the Coast in Japan, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and values. Own the full Japan commercial strategy across Hobby, Mass, E-commerce, and Distributor channels. Develop and implement a 3-year market expansion plan aligned with global GTM priorities. Translate global business objectives into locally relevant initiatives, product priorities, and channel programs. Identify new opportunities for growth, including retail expansion, store-within-a-store partners, organized play growth, and new business models. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing local team across sales, marketing, and operations. Collaborate with regional and global teams to align Japan's strategy with global initiatives and launches. Develop annual business plans, budgets, and performance metrics. Lead, mentor, and performance-manage the local team, improving capability, accountability, and execution rigor. 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership within the entertainment, TCG industry, gaming, or consumer products industry. Strong understanding of retail, distribution, and e-commerce in the Japanese market. Outstanding leadership and team management skills. Solid knowledge of the Japanese market and consumer behavior. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans with a focus on results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in both Japanese and English (business-level written and spoken). Deep knowledge of the Trading Card Game ecosystem, including retailers, distributors, organized play, competitors, and consumer behavior is desired. Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills.
