KennelBuild is the UK’s leading manufacturing and construction contractor and designer for the commercial dog kennel market. Our client base includes the Ministry of Defence, Police Forces, RSPCA and other leading animal rescue charities plus the very highest quality luxury boarding kennels.
Due to rapid growth and a strong pipeline of work, a new role is being created for a Senior Commercial Manager. The role will be predominantly based in our Head Office in Crewe, however significant travelling is to be expected due to a nationwide workload.
Kennelbuild We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of construction techniques and processes. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Commercial Manager, you’ll lead all commercial activities across pre- and post-contract phases, ensuring robust governance, profitability, and performance. As a rapidly growing business with a diverse client base this role requires someone able to shift fluidly between Sales/PM/Contracts and ultimately account management.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Drive financial outcomes across turnover, profit, cash flow, and rebate targets.
  • Lead tender strategies and project business plans.
  • Manage commercial reporting, risk, and contract compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the supply chain.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing commercial team as part of the Senior Leadership Team
