Position Title: Commercial Director Position Type: Regular - Full-Time ​ Grade: Grade 07 Requisition ID: 41370 Position Summary: With over 30years’ presence in China, we are committed to long-term local growth to offer consumers great tasting potato products, sourced from local farmers, produced in our local plants and developed based on local insights. This role will play a pivotal leadership role in leading our overall commercial business in China. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, building key partnerships, and managing end-to-end import/export operations to support both domestic and international market demands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG commercial leadership, deep QSR and Food Service expertise, and proven success in managing global supply chain and trade compliance. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute integrated commercial strategies across QSR, Food Service, Marketing, and Import/Export channels aligned with corporate goals. Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities with national and regional QSR chains, food service distributors, and key importers/exporters. Account Management: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with strategic accounts, ensuring high levels of service, quality, and responsiveness. Import/Export Oversight: Manage all aspects of import and export activities. Sales & Revenue Growth: Deliver revenue and profit targets by optimizing pricing, promotions, and product mix for each channel. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain, finance, R&D, and relating teams to align on product launches, campaigns, and market entry strategies. Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor local and global market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities. P&L Responsibility: Take ownership of the P&L for assigned business segments, ensuring cost control and sustainable profitability. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to achieve strategic targets. KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES: To effectively perform in this job the position holder must have: MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification. Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in FMCG commercial roles, with at least 5 years as a senior leader. Demonstrated success in managing large-scale B2B accounts and leading cross-border trade operations. Strong network within the QSR and food service sectors. In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, documentation, and logistics processes. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Proficiency in English. Key Competencies: Global business acumen and cultural sensitivity. Analytical and data-driven decision making. Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed organization. Strong project management and execution capability. Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
