In this role you will provide senior leadership and oversight across contract administration, claims management, commercial controls, procurement strategy, and dispute resolution on a major infrastructure program. What You'll Be Doing: Coordinate with the project team and client representatives on all matters relating to contract administration, claims, disputes, contract interpretation, cost analysis, and commercial risk. Develop, implement, and manage systems and procedures to monitor internal and external contracts, ensuring contractual compliance matters are identified and resolved in a timely and effective manner. Provide recommendations on construction contract procurement, contract strategy, and the appropriate use of underlying contracts and agreements. Drive continuous improvement across commercial and contract management processes, including contract formulation, administration procedures, reporting, and governance. Identify potential claims and contractual risks, assess compliance with applicable contract terms, and support the effective negotiation and settlement of claims. Prepare and manage claims for negotiation with contractors, including the assessment and calculation of losses arising from contractual defaults. Provide recommendations to remedy failures to meet contractual obligations and support the resolution of complex commercial and contractual issues. Oversee financial contract management activities, including budget monitoring, cost control, value for money assessments, payment certificates, subcontractor invoicing, and client invoicing. Lead, manage, and develop a team of experienced contract administration and commercial staff. Support senior project leadership in maintaining effective client, contractor, consultant, and stakeholder relationships. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Business, Law, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 15 years of relevant post qualification experience, preferably on major heavy civil or infrastructure projects. Recent experience in a senior Contracts Administration, Commercial Director, or equivalent leadership role. Proven experience managing contracts administration, claims, and commercial teams dealing with major contractual disputes. Experience working with a major contractor, engineering consultant, claims consultancy, or equivalent organization in a senior commercial or contracts capacity. Strong experience providing advice on contracts, procurement, claims, disputes, and contract interpretation. Demonstrable track record across all stages of the project life cycle, including contractual frameworks, cost estimation, site management, cost management, contract administration, claims, and dispute resolution. Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts or equivalent standard forms of contract. Proven ability to develop successful relationships at senior level with clients, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Experience working on infrastructure mega projects. Middle East or KSA project experience preferred. Experience working in a PMC, PMCM, consultant, contractor, or claims advisory environment. Experience supporting complex claims, disputes, arbitration, adjudication, or expert witness related matters.
