JOB OVERVIEW

Looking for experience Drywall Foreman that has minimum of 5 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role in commercial Drywall construction ( Drywall + Metal Framing + Finishing)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Drywall Foreman will oversee and manage a crew of min. 6-10 drywall installers, metal stud framers and finishers on commercial construction projects. This role involves coordinating daily activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise in drywall systems, and a proven track record in commercial construction.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role in commercial construction.
    Education- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a drywall or Interior system mechanics/carpentry apprenticeship program is an asset.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Expertise in installing and finishing drywall systems, including metal stud framing, acoustic ceilings, and specialty finishes.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as required by project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a crew of 6-10 drywall installers and finishers, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, ensuring timely completion of drywall installation, taping, and finishing tasks.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accurate execution of project requirements.
  • Enforce site safety protocols in accordance with provincial regulations ) and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure crew compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
  • Liaise with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to coordinate work and resolve issues.
