In this role, you will support our commercial sales and operations teams by producing accurate and competitive estimates for lumber and building material projects, including multi-family, commercial, and light industrial construction. Your ability to interpret architectural plans, understand building systems, and apply material knowledge will be critical to our project success. Key Responsibilities: Analyze architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to create accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates. Collaborate with sales, project managers, and purchasers to ensure complete and competitive proposals. Use industry-specific software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Timberline, etc.) to perform takeoffs and estimate materials including framing lumber, engineered wood, sheathing, trusses, and finish goods. Track market trends and material costs to ensure current pricing and availability. Submit bid proposals in a timely and organized manner, meeting customer and internal deadlines. Review awarded jobs for accuracy and assist in handoff to operations for ordering and scheduling. Coordinate with vendors and internal procurement teams to verify pricing and lead times. Maintain organized records of estimates, project notes, and revisions. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in estimating within the lumber, construction, or building materials industry. Strong understanding of commercial construction documents and project lifecycles. Proficient in reading blueprints and technical documents. Excellent math and analytical skills with a high attention to detail. Working knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and organizational skills.
