Description

We are currently seeking a Commercial Excellence Manager (x|f|m) for the Commercial Excellence Team in BPS division based in Göttingen (Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH). In this role, you play a key role in driving commercial excellence by defining global frameworks and providing guidance to sales teams when implementing customer specific commercial initiatives, driving strategic projects and engaging in customer negotiations with objective to increase order intake, optimize profitability and enhance customer satisfaction and retention. You are responsible for supporting regional and strategic accounts by leveraging data-based insights, tools and market trends to achieve strategic objectives. Your role also contributes to the digital transformation of commercial processes and the adoption of tools within our sales organization.   • Improve current Commercial Excellence methodologies and processes, driving strategic initiatives to create new revenue streams and increase business opportunities
  • Create commercial frameworks and guidance, identifying and mitigating risks in commercial activities (e.g. customer specific pricing, rebates, discounts, freight costs) and ensuring consistency and harmonized alignment across regions
  • Develop and train sales teams on tools to monitor and report on negotiation and deal success and profitability to proactively identify optimization opportunities
  • Improve quote success by actively participating in strategic customer proposals and negotiations, developing enhancements to decision support tools, and overseeing deal review, ensuring profitability and compliant approval processes
  • In close collaboration together with other experts develop and implement commercial excellence initiatives (e.g. tender and contract management, negotiation tactics trainings and value-based approaches)
  • Act as a key collaborator representing Sales for commercial queries

What will convince us

  • Master degree in business administration, finance or related field
  • Several years of professional experience in marketing and sales, pricing, demonstrating successful delivery of customer-centric initiatives that achieve measurable results
  • Strong project and change management skills, independent working style and strong assertiveness
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to align project objectives with broader organizational goals
  • Proven ability to anticipate challenges, solve problems and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and timelines, high attention to detail and accuracy in project documentation and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at various organizational levels
  • Fluent in English, another European language is a plus
