This newly created role for a part qualified accountant to join the commercial finance team. The key task of commercial finance is to support business in understanding cost implications on future performance and making recommendations to the operational managers.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with confidence to work independently.
• Desire to enhance finance function and wider business.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Essential: Part Qualified -AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
• Sage 200 experience desirable.

• Assisting in thorough financial analysis of the business performance at home by home level, identifying and communicating key drivers of both current and future business performance.
• Finance for “non finance” people- helping the home managers understand the key drivers in their accounts, developing strong relationships.
• Provide support and resolve queries from staff in our residential homes and schools.
• Projects: conduct ad hoc analysis to support interpretation and decision-making, contributing to various projects as needed.
• Provide support to Commercial Finance Business Partner and other members of finance team as required.
• Post journals in the finance system.
• Production of Weekly and Monthly KPIs.
• Potential travel to residential homes and schools. Involvement in budget processing.
• Involvement in annual year end audit.
• Various ad-hoc reports.
