Description We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Garage Door Technician Helper to join our growing team. In this entry-level role, you will work alongside experienced technicians to install, service, and repair commercial garage doors and related equipment. Key Responsibilities Assist lead technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial garage doors, springs, cables, tracks, and operators Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites safely and efficiently Perform basic tasks under direct supervision, including drilling, cutting, and fastening components Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all job sites Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines at all times Operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment from company vehicles Perform other duties as assigned by the lead technician or management Requirements Valid driver's license Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Reliable transportation to report to the shop or assigned job sites Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in various weather conditions Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the trade Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive team-first attitude Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with hand tools and power tools Physical Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching Prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces Repetitive use of hands and arms for installation and repair tasks Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions
