JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems and appliances in residential and/or commercial properties, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
A bit about us:
At MIES we manage a wide range of sites including: Residential blocks, Schools, Leisure centres, Universities and a wide range of others. With a fleet of 30+ Vans, we offer many different services such as, Electrical, Fire, Security and Mechanical.
We also manage 200 + Wickes stores nationwide, stretching from Truro to Edinburgh. Servicing and repairing everything from plant rooms to fire alarms.

As a Gas Engineer, your responsibilities would include:

• Install, service, and repair gas appliances and systems
• Conduct safety inspections and issue Gas Safety Certificates.
• Diagnose and repair faults in gas systems.
• Provide customers with advice on energy efficiency and system upgrades.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with current regulations (Gas Safe, HSE).
• Complete job sheets and reports accurately and promptly.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

REQUIREMENTS

• Gas Safe registered (essential).
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency callouts.
