Job Title: Gas Engineer
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire (Positions also available in the Peterborough branch)
Salary: £33,000-£47,000 DOE
Benefits: 21 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Departmental Perks & Bonuses
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 07:45-16:30, Friday, 07:45-15:30
Contract Type: Full time, permanent
Our client based in Northampton, Northamptonshire is looking for a Gas Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

As an Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing installation and maintenance of commercial gas systems, including boilers, boosters, and pipework.
  • Conducting tightness, strength testing, and purging up to IGE/UP/1 standards.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with regulations.
  • Staying updated on industry knowledge and pursue personal development.
  • Using IT systems effectively to support your work.
  • Maintaining a positive, proactive attitude and collaborate with the team.
  • Organising tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.

An ideal candidate for the Gas Engineer role will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Commercial Gas Engineering
  • Experience working within a similar environment - commercial, industrial and domestic experience
  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or SMSTS certification.
  • Full UK driving licence (minimum 6 months driving experience).
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and a willingness to undertake further training.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
