JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with proficiency in tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate pricing and cost analysis for various construction projects, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in curtainwall and storefront estimating with a strong understanding of glazing processes.
• Proficiency in estimation software
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in pricing and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kelowna, BC V1X 1R

• Prepare detailed estimates for glazing construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
• Utilize Bluebeam and HeavyBid software to create accurate take-offs and cost calculations.
• Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and scope.
• Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project changes for future reference.
• Monitor project budgets and provide updates on cost variances as necessary.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients.
• Stay informed about industry trends, pricing changes, and new materials or technologies that may impact estimating processes.
