Description Position Summary: As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across our commercial portfolio. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality service. Your ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and provide excellent customer service will contribute directly to the success of our operations. Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform a variety of standard to moderately complex technical tasks related to installing, maintaining and repairing heating, cooling, ventilation and related systems. Repair customer’s products such as heat pumps, ventilation systems, gas furnaces, steam and water boilers, burners, rooftop package units, VRV systems, refrigeration units, and motors, while providing top notch customer service. Investigates problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling and ventilation systems. Maintain a high quality of service at all times Meet key productivity metrics and goals asset by the company Assemble, install, or repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems, according to specifications or plumbing codes Think outside the box on ways to enhance service and customer experience Reports any maintenance problems to the supervisor If assigned a vehicle, maintains logs on that vehicle. Responsible for proper maintenance of that vehicle and any other equipment assigned Assists in creating and maintaining an inventory and supply listing Obtains and implements all necessary information to comply with local and federal laws (including employment information, OSHA information, Fair Housing, etc.) Performs all other duties at the request of the Service Supervisor Requirements Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Employee must be self motivated and have good communication skills and a neat appearance. Education/Training/Experience Requires high school education (or equivalent), plus vocational, career, or related technical studies. Vocational emphasis on plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical, and have HVAC certification. One year minimum related service experience EPA certification for handling refrigerants or in the process of obtaining certification.
