Description

LOCATED: SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ

We are seeking a motivated Commercial HVAC Field Service Technician with strong technical and problem-solving skills. As a key point of contact for our customers, your primary goal will be ensuring high-quality service and exceeding customer satisfaction. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment both in-house and at customer locations. This role requires creative thinking, the ability to work independently, and a strong focus on customer service.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent education/training.
  • Proven ability to work in a field customer service environment.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of inventory apps, order processing systems, and basic computer software (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to travel as needed and work in an on-call capacity.
  • Ability to meet non-CDL DOT driver requirements and tow equipment trailers up to 8,000 lbs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and maintain industrial HVAC machinery to meet performance and quality standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment failures both in-house and at customer sites.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and accurately document actions in company systems.
  • Train customer employees on machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure safe working conditions by adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles and trailers for transporting equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of products and services, with ongoing training as needed.
