Description

A vacancy exists for a Commercial Insights Associate within Kazang – Micro Merchant, Century City, Cape Town. To support the Senior Business Development Manager by delivering data-driven insights, competitor analysis, and on-the-ground input to commercial strategies and project rollouts. This role ensures that sales systems, products, and strategic initiatives are aligned to business needs through strong analytical work and stakeholder engagement.

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years
  • Certifications in Power BI, Excel analytics, SQL, or Agile Project Management.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Power BI / Excel dashboarding
  • SQL / data querying

  • Project tracking / field implementation exposure
  • POS, payments, or merchant systems knowledge
Responsibilities
  • Build and manage dashboards using Power BI or Excel to track sales, product performance, and strategic KPIs
  • Deliver insight reports to support commercial decision-making.
  • Conduct structured market research and competitor analysis to feed into product innovation and commercial initiatives.
  • Work with product managers to identify and scope improvements to sales and operational systems based on user feedback and commercial insights.
  • Assist in execution and tracking of national-level commercial projects such as POS device rollouts and merchant conversions
  • Engage directly with regional sales teams and selected merchants to collect in-field feedback and inform continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with BI, product, and commercial stakeholders to align execution, reporting, and feedback mechanisms.
