£35,000 PER ANNUM BASIC PLUS COMMISSION | MON-FRI, 9AM-5PM NO WEEKENDS

We are currently seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Commercial Insurance Sales Executive. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage leads provided by our regional service team while also generating your own leads to drive sales of insurance products within the South West region. With a hybrid of both office and field-based working, you will be responsible for arranging and attending meetings with prospective clients to understand their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions.
As a Commercial Insurance Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in supplying a broad range of insurance products to businesses within the South West region. From vital coverages such as property and employers’ liability to specialised offerings like manufacturing machinery breakdown insurance, loss of profit due to unexpected events, and goods in transit insurance, and many more products. You will have the chance to customise a wide range of comprehensive insurance solutions to meet the varied needs of our clients.
This position would be ideal for someone with previous sales experience or someone who would like to transition from an office/phone-based account handling role, as there are many different insurance products you can offer to your clients that you may be familiar with.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in sales or individuals with insurance product knowledge looking to advance their career.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively between the Exeter office and field-based environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for business travel.
  • A proactive and results-driven attitude with a commitment to achieving sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Responsibilities
  • Utilise leads provided by our regional service team and generate your own leads to identify new business opportunities within the South West region.
  • Arrange and attend face-to-face meetings with business owners and decision-makers to conduct thorough needs assessments and present suitable insurance solutions.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop comprehensive insurance proposals tailored to meet the specific requirements of each client.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide ongoing support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Utilise company-provided laptop for administrative tasks and CRM updates, balancing office-based work with field visits as necessary.
  • Must have own vehicle for business travel, with mileage and fuel expenses reimbursed by the employer. Car business travel insurance will be provided by the employer.
