Allianz Trade is seeking dynamic SME Commercial Insurance Underwriters to be part of our team You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring their service, retention, and growth, as well as achieving new business targets by managing relationships with brokers and distribution partners across Australia Join us in a dynamic environment where innovation and digital transformation are at the heart of our operation Main Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of SME clients, acting as the central communication point and ensuring their service, retention, and growth. Manage relationships with brokers and distribution partners to drive commercial success. Manage new business pipeline, including inbound new business leads Manage renewal pipeline, including negotiations of terms within the commercial underwriting framework. Facilitate portfolio growth by onboarding new business leads and identifying cross- and up-selling opportunities. Take personal responsibility for implementing company-wide quality of service standards. Apply commercial underwriting standards to ensure the portfolio is profitable and sustainable. Ensure compliance with business and regulatory requirements, including Know-Your-Customer, ESG, and other guidelines. Who You Are Successful track record in managing a portfolio of SME clients Proven ability to develop and manage broker and partner relationships, generating new business opportunities, and converting them into profitable long-term clients. Ability to understand current and prospective clients' businesses and assess underlying commercial risks. A problem-solving mindset Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills. Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation and influencing attributes. Compliance with Commercial Underwriting objectives, guidelines, and regulatory requirements is crucial. Awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and are enthusiastic about learning and integrating AI into everyday business processes.
