The Louis Dreyfus Company Internship Program 2024 is a six-month program that provides students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commodity trading industry. The program is designed to equip interns with foundational knowledge and professional skills in one of the company’s business platforms. As a Coffee Intern, you will be introduced to and become an integral part of our coffee team. You will work with experienced professionals in coffee team and interact with colleagues to gain insight into the commodity industry. You will be given the opportunity to collaborate with Asia heads (Coffee, Operations, Marketing, Sustainability, Analysis) to develop your own sense of the working environment in the business platform. Job Description Research Help to structure and organize research data – balance sheets, other secondary datasets. Gain insights from and analyse large datasets. Help with automation of tasks and reports. Prepare BI dashboards. Analyse coffee demand, build models for predicting demand. Weather data analysis and weather impact on yields Sustainability Support the regional manager in the assessment and review of the current sustainability operations processes within the region, working together to define an improvement plan aiming at improving LDC operational efficiency in sustainability.
