COMMERCIAL JUNIOR LOAN OFFICER

The Commercial Junior Loan Officer will shadow senior loan officers in order to develop skills to move into a loan officer role. The Commercial Junior Loan Officer will assist in originating and managing commercial loan portfolios.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
• Prior experience in banking especially in commercial lending.
• Familiarity with financial statements and credit analysis.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

• Assists senior lenders in originating commercial loans by gathering financial information, reviewing loan applications, and assessing borrowers’ creditworthiness.
• Participates in customer appointments to observe the process of obtaining required information in the application process.
• Communicates with local business owners in surrounding areas to collect necessary documents and data for loan applications.
• Helps evaluate the financial stability and creditworthiness of potential borrowers by analyzing financial statements and business plans.
• Assists with ensuring the borrowers meets regulatory and internal lending standards.
• Foster strong relationships with new and existing commercial borrowers in the surrounding area, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
• Address borrower inquiries and provide updates on loan progress and documentation.
• Ensure that loan documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with state and federal regulations, as well as bank policies.
• Assist in monitoring loan performance and ensuring borrowers adhere to loan terms.
• Help prepare reports on loan portfolio performance and local market conditions for senior management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
