JOB SUMMARY

Guest Linen is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our team in a commercial laundry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linen, towels, and hired goods are cleaned, ironed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the overall cleanliness and comfort of guests’ experiences and client expectations.
Guest Linen provides hired goods to serviced apartments, hotels & B&B’s.
Candidate must be available to work Saturdays 8am - 3pm. (Occasional Sunday/ weekday work can be available with overtime)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel setting is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team- happy to lone work (appropriate training provided).
• Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition towards clients, members of the team and prospective customers.

• Operate washing machines, dryers and ironer efficiently while adhering to safety procedures.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments as per hotel standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
• Inspect items for stains or damage and report any issues to management.
• Use software to manage customer orders and communicate effectively with client queries.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with inventory management of linens as required.
