THE REQUIREMENTS

Experience working on a range of commercial law matters relevant to the Commonwealth relating to the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013(Cth) would be highly regarded.
Legal qualifications, a Baseline clearance and a current practicing certificate isessential.

Experience in the following areas would be highly desirable:

• procurement and tendering;
• intellectual property;
• commercial and corporate;
• construction and infrastructure;
• environment and planning;
• grants; and
• general and/or transactional property

THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to provide legal advice and support tothe Commercial Law team within a Commonwealth Department’s Legal Division.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will have experience in advising on, drafting, reviewing and/or negotiating a range of commercial law matters relevant to the Commonwealth. The secondee will also be required to supervise the work of junior legal personnel in the team.
