As the Commercial Lead for our sales organization in China reporting to the Asia Growth Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our sales operations within the China region. You will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance customer satisfaction. Through a natural curiosity and passion for servicing our customers, the successful candidate will: Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership and direction to the sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork. Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor sales professionals to ensure high performance and career development. Operates within a highly matrixed organization, requiring the ability to build influence and navigate complex stakeholder relationships to drive initiatives forward without direct authority. Set clear sales targets and objectives and regularly assess team performance against key metrics. Achieve annual sales revenue targets set for the China market. Develop and execute strategies to drive incremental revenue growth and meet or exceed sales quotas. Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize market penetration. Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to inform sales strategies and tactics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives. Collaborate closely with distributors to understand market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape, and to align sales strategies accordingly. Market Expansion and Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth and diversify revenue streams. Develop and implement strategies to identify, onboard, and nurture distributor partnerships across various regions in China. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term business partnerships. Evaluate market dynamics and competitive landscape to identify potential areas for expansion and market differentiation. Expand market share by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities and market segments. Operational Excellence: Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness within the sales organization, optimizing processes and systems as needed. Monitor sales performance, pipeline, and forecasting accuracy, and implement corrective measures as necessary. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales productivity, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by working closely with distributors to deliver exceptional service and value. Other duties as assigned. ABOUT THE CANDIDATE The ideal candidate brings a natural curiosity and passion for being an assistant, tackling ever-changing challenges, and has a knack for making things happen. A “can-do” attitude, collaborative spirit, and flexible work style are also essential in this role. This person should be a self-starter and bring extensive experience supporting customers’ needs and assuring the highest quality standards. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.• Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing sales teams in China. Deep understanding of the Chinese market, including customer preferences, regulatory requirements, and cultural nuances. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Mandarin and English. Proven experience working in matrix organizations Demonstrated ability to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams. Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on driving revenue growth, achieving targets, and delivering exceptional customer value. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high degree of resilience and adaptability.
