    GRID is looking for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join our legal team and support the day-to-day legal operations in a fast-moving environment. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you’ll be involved in a wide range of legal work spanning commercial, regulatory, compliance, and IP matters You’ll work across all teams, commercial, partnerships, product and operations, advising on contracts, risk, and best practices.

YOUR SKILLS WILL INCLUDE

  • Legally qualified in a European, UK, or US jurisdiction, with a willingness to advise on international legal matters and cross-border issues while working with external counsel
  • Excellent English and attention to detail
  • Have an understanding of or be willing to learn about betting-related licensing and compliance matters
  • An interest and understanding of esports or gaming
  • An interest in intellectual property
  • Have a practical mindset
  • Being organised, diligent and reliable
Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate on a wide range of commercial and legal agreements with world-leading rightsholders and the distribution of GRID data to downstreaming customers in media, betting and product applications
  • Advise business teams on legal and regulatory issues in betting, IP data rights protection
  • Work closely with the esports services team for legal contracts for the CCT Tour esports series of tournaments
  • Coordinate with external counsel on specialist or local matters
  • Help scale legal operations by improving templates, workflows, and processes
