We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Lender to join our team. As a Commercial Lender, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with our commercial clients while assisting them with their borrowing needs. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a portfolio of commercial clients by proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Prospect an assigned market utilizing a defined sales plan. Assess creditworthiness and financial viability of potential borrowers through comprehensive financial analysis and risk assessment. Structure and negotiate loan terms and conditions in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Manage and monitor existing commercial loan relationships, including annual reviews, covenant compliance, and problem loan identification. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering prompt and accurate responses to client inquiries and requests. Collaborate with internal departments, such as credit administration and loan operations, to ensure smooth loan origination, underwriting, and closing processes. Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting commercial lending to make informed decisions and recommendations. Actively participate in community outreach activities and events to enhance the bank's visibility and promote business growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending, preferably in a community bank, credit union or other financial institution. Strong knowledge of commercial loan products, credit analysis, underwriting principles, and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a portfolio of commercial clients. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex financial information and make sound lending decisions. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and targets. Proficiency in financial analysis software, Microsoft Office Suite, and banking systems.
