Reporting into the Head of Regional Commercial Lending, you play a vital role in the future growth of Metro Bank through accountability for working within a Regional Commercial team to land and maintain a growing book of commercial lending customers, whilst adhering to regulatory requirements and the risk appetite of the bank.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an active portfolio of Regional commercial banking customers and grow the bank with the acquisition of new borrowing customers
  • Develop and deliver your business plan, responding to internal risk challenges, external market challenges, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain active and influential relationships with key market professionals and players, as Metro Bank’s external face to the Commercial market (customers & professionals) building our brand and reputation in this key market place
  • Manage all aspects of Risk, including Credit, Operational and Regulatory
  • Manage, influence and build an internal network across Metro Bank to ensure a One Team approach for customers and colleagues
  • Liaise with other internal stakeholders to deliver required propositions and pricing requirements, risk policies and reporting set and managed within appetites
  • Be a role model for the Regional Commercial Team and Metro Bank when dealing with customers, intermediaries and colleagues
