The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Commercial Lines Associate Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Southborough, MA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position. Responsibilities: Serve as the main point of contact for insureds; handle daily client communications via phone and email. Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive service and problem-solving. Handle inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes and general insurance questions as related to lines of business Monitor account exposures, losses, and trends to anticipate renewal needs and prepare for marketing when required. Interpret policy language, process changes, and communicate coverage updates clearly and accurately Conduct renewal marketing when necessary, negotiating rates, reviewing quotes and coverage and creating renewal proposals Work directly with producers and clients to obtain underwriting information necessary for new business submissions. Market new accounts to appropriate carriers; analyze quotes, negotiate terms, and make carrier recommendations. Prepare and deliver professional proposals and coverage comparisons to clients or producers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters and marketing representatives. Track marketing activity and maintain up-to-date records of carrier appetite, rates, and programs. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: High school degree required 5+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales in the p&c insurance industry Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate via phone email or text Superior listening skills and ability to probe customer needs and opportunities through question-based selling and retention techniques Self-directed with good decision making and time management skills Proficient PC skills; knowledge of insurance software including AMS360 MA Resident P & C license Benefits: Company Paid Life Insurance, Long-Term and Short-Term Disability.
