  • Typically, 2+ years of industry or product line experience, preferably in a commercial risk setting

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager with strong time management and organization skills to support our Small Medium Enterprise (SME) team. In this role, you will manage an assigned book of business and ensure client satisfaction. This is an ideal role for a team player who is detail-oriented and enjoys working with people, committed to delivering results on required deadlines.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Service and Sales – Meeting new and existing clients’ needs, including quotations, premium adjustments, endorsements; accepting and processing online quotes.
  • Be accountable for a book of business; Function as one of the primary points of contact on accounts; responsible for maintaining key client and insurer relationships.
  • Negotiate with insurers for coverage and prices that meet the client’s needs.
  • Handle renewals, monitor the processing of policy documents, binders, certificates, and billings.
  • Ensure Account Receivables are collected in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and monitor insurance submissions, proposals, and summaries of insurance (when required).
  • Advocate for clients during claims process; Engage claims team on critical claims matters.
  • Fulfil new business growth and client retention.
  • Support and promote cross-sell / up-sell initiatives.
