  • RIBO license (Ontario) required; CIP, CRM, or CAIB designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial P&C insurance, preferably with a focus on sports, entertainment, media, or large program business.
  • Proven experience managing teams and leading client service strategies in a brokerage or underwriting environment.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering tailored, high-value solutions to large, complex accounts.
  • Deep understanding of domestic and international insurance markets, placement strategies, and insurer relationships.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate with executive stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, professional, and persuasive manner.
  • Strong understanding of account profitability metrics, fee structures, and revenue growth strategies.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EPIC or similar brokerage management systems is an asset.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a seasoned insurance professional to join our Sports & Entertainment Practice as Account Manager. This is a leadership role for an experienced broker who brings deep industry knowledge, strong client relationship skills, and a proven ability to grow and retain complex commercial accounts.
As Account Manager, you will lead a portfolio of high-profile clients in the sports and entertainment industry, providing strategic risk management advice, overseeing service delivery, and driving new business development. You will play a pivotal role in guiding a specialized team, ensuring our clients receive exceptional value and innovative insurance solutions tailored to their unique exposures.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Oversee a significant and complex book of business within the sports and entertainment sector, ensuring retention, profitability, and growth targets are achieved.
  • Provide consultative advice to C-suite executives, boards, and key stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies, complex coverage structures, and emerging industry risks.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your network and market intelligence to expand our footprint in sports, live entertainment, media, and related segments.
  • Mentor, coach, and oversee associates, fostering a high-performance, client-first culture.
  • Lead complex placement strategies, negotiating with domestic and international carriers to secure optimal terms and innovative solutions for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including RIBO standards) and internal processes, while driving operational efficiency through best practices and process improvements.
  • Develop multi-level relationships within client organizations, acting as the primary escalation point and trusted advisor.
  • Monitor account profitability, manage billing, and oversee resolution of premium receivables.
