JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly experienced and results-driven Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and contractual aspects of our construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing cost management, contracts, procurement, and financial performance to ensure projects are delivered profitably and in compliance with company and client requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Commercial Manager in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in the UAE.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (RICS/Chartered status preferred).
  • Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction laws.
  • Proven track record in cost management, contract administration, and claims.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and cost management software.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage commercial strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risks.
  • Oversee cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting for projects.
  • Manage tendering processes, including preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and identify potential risks or claims.
  • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-control measures.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of interim payment applications and final accounts.
  • Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Provide commercial guidance to project teams and senior management.
  • Prepare regular commercial and financial reports for management review.
  • Resolve commercial disputes and claims in a timely manner.
