As Catering & Events Manager you are responsible for the negotiation of business through proposals and contracts to close business. What will I be doing? The Catering and Events Commercial Manager is responsible for supporting a dynamic team of sellers in focusing on corporate, social, galas, and non-profit sales. Hilton’s Commercial Services organization is comprised of team members driving sales, revenue, marketing, catering, and event management, call center, and analytics functions. These functions are the core of Hilton’s “commercial engine: and are essential to Hilton’s ability to drive profitable growth. The Catering and Events Commercial Manager will support this “commercial engine”. Your essential functions in this role include such things as: To organize, plan, and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals. Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person. Handling phone calls, emails, customer inquiries and greeting clients for Catering and Events in a professional, courteous manner. Inputting programs in booking systems, managing VIP guest arrangements, and coordinating as well as conducting site visits. Creating and communicating documents, including but not limited to BEOs, resumes, post-event reports, menus, diagrams/floor plans, and ordering office supplies. Working with affiliate groups and other departments. Assist with customer requests and deliver on the corresponding expectations Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes. “i.e, Social Tables, Salesforce Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs. Other duties as necessary based on business needs Regular attendance The rate of pay for this role is $45- $50 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience. What are we looking for? Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Event Management or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in event planning, catering or hospitality in Luxury Hospitality Strong organizational skills with attention to detail It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc) • Relevant degree, in business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution (CMP, CPCE) Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
