Description:
We seek a Commercial Manager with a strong construction and contract management background. The ideal candidate will oversee cost control, contract negotiation, procurement strategies, and financial planning to ensure project profitability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial and contract management for construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize supplier and subcontractor negotiations.
- Oversee budget forecasting, cost control, and financial risk assessment.
- Manage contract agreements, claims, and disputes to safeguard company interests.
- Collaborate with project managers to align commercial objectives with project execution.
- Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Prepare financial reports, project valuations, and cost analysis for senior management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a commercial management role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, FIDIC, JCT, and NEC contracts.
- Proven ability to negotiate high-value contracts and manage commercial risks.
- Expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience working in international construction markets is a plus.
