Description

As the Commercial Manager, you will be instrumental in cultivating, securing, and managing client relationships to propel our vision forward. This is your chance to take charge of the new business strategy, creating a workstream for the wider servicing teams.
You will work with all internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of new business commitments, from exclusive elements within Patronage and Strategic Partnership agreements to groundbreaking collaborations that enhance our brand. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, you’ll be the linchpin connecting our sponsors’ objectives with the roadmap and vision, making our commercial events successful for the long-term.

Beyond managing incoming new business you’ll also oversee the sponsorship relationships with external entities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • An understanding of the business membership organizations, and the business support landscape in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire.
  • A proven track record in securing, negotiating, and managing contracts, including contracts for large-scale events.
  • Experience working towards commercial targets and collaborating across teams.
  • Proficient in stakeholder relationship management and engaging diverse business communities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis, CRM systems, and IT tools.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and results-driven with a creative approach.
  • Degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional qualifications.
  • Full UK driving license and access to transport for business purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales communication and efforts across the business, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Cultivate and manage long-term relationship building with key clients
  • Collaborate with various departments for sign up and compliance
  • Maintain a robust contracting process and ensure timely updates in the CRM system.
  • Support product development and refinement in collaboration with the Commercial Marketing, Events, Networks, and Policy Teams.
  • Maximize sponsorship opportunities from upcoming events, networks, and external partnerships.
  • Work with event leads to align events with member and business feedback.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team.
