KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Commercial Management experience in the UK engineering or steel industry
  • A track record in managing and motivating teams to achieve and exceed
  • A proven record of building up accounts and delivering results
  • Confident in setting and achieving targets and KPI’s
  • Can drive & has a full UK driving licence
  • The ability to travel as and when required
Responsibilities
  • Personally lead negotiations with existing and potential customers and through regular meetings, build relationships to maximise commercial opportunities with them
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process for clients from engagement to sale, to delivery
  • Ensuring that effective systems of control and information exist, routinely monitor sales performance against plan in order to maximise profit potential
  • Develop robust sales plans and a commercial strategy, working within the constraints of operational capacity, that seeks to secure profitable new market share and gross margin growth, through a combination of new business and existing business development, via the lowest cost to serve
  • Ensure sales plans/commercial strategy reflects the need to minimise stock levels, work in progress and customer debtor days in order to manage working capital
  • Lead your teams with confidence, mange and motivate to achieve personal and business KPI’s
