Commercial Management experience in the UK engineering or steel industry
A track record in managing and motivating teams to achieve and exceed
A proven record of building up accounts and delivering results
Confident in setting and achieving targets and KPI’s
Can drive & has a full UK driving licence
The ability to travel as and when required
Responsibilities
Personally lead negotiations with existing and potential customers and through regular meetings, build relationships to maximise commercial opportunities with them
Manage the end-to-end sales process for clients from engagement to sale, to delivery
Ensuring that effective systems of control and information exist, routinely monitor sales performance against plan in order to maximise profit potential
Develop robust sales plans and a commercial strategy, working within the constraints of operational capacity, that seeks to secure profitable new market share and gross margin growth, through a combination of new business and existing business development, via the lowest cost to serve
Ensure sales plans/commercial strategy reflects the need to minimise stock levels, work in progress and customer debtor days in order to manage working capital
