JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager for a Marine project to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing cost management and commercial aspects of our marine projects, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability.

  • Develop and implement cost control strategies for marine projects
  • Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and clients
  • Create and maintain project budgets, forecasting potential cost overruns
  • Collaborate with project managers to optimize resource allocation and cost-effectiveness
  • Conduct regular financial audits and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and industry standards
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Provide expert commercial advice on marine projects and operations
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and partners

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in cost management or commercial roles within the marine industry
  • Proven track record in financial analysis, contract negotiation, and cost estimation for large-scale marine projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial management software
  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations and industry standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Professional certifications such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) preferred
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to marine sites or client locations as required
