Responsibilities
Commercial/Contractual Management for major infrastructure projects.
Manage and ensure implementation of commercial processes and procedures to deliver key commercial requirements for the business and achieve continuous improvement.
Work closely with the contractors ensuring that all relationships are professionally and appropriately managed to provide commercial services to the Client to agreed standards.
Ensure effective commercial management of contracts with contractors to agree and certify payments; disallowed cost; contract changes; analysis, negotiation and agreement of claims and settlement of final accounts.
Lead commercial progress meetings with contractors.
Support the resident engineering team and embed commercial practices and expertise on contracts and deliver a consistent approach for the management of commercial issues, ensuring that appropriate contemporaneous records are kept supporting commercial negotiations.
Provide mentoring, training and development to the resident engineering team on administrative duties and responsibilities under the works contracts.
Project budget/expenditure forecasting.
Management of change control on behalf of the Client.
Subcontract procurement approval.
Subcontract final account approval.
Estimating/pricing of new/ additional scope.
Report writing for change/governance.
All other post contract commercial requirements as necessary.
