Te Tūranga | About the Role: Our Commercial Manager for Livestock Supply leads a highly capable team that provide insights, commentary, reporting and value analysis to our Livestock Supply function, that then enables them to make the best tactical and strategic decisions. This role ensures we remain aware of key competition, regulatory, environmental, or market-based levers that can be shifted to maximise Silver Fern Farms’ Livestock Supply-based outcomes that ultimately enable us to achieve our strategy. In delivering this work, our Commercial Manager works as a very visible presence across key senior stakeholders while also providing a level of independence to the commercial positions assessed & taken by Livestock Supply leadership. Our Commercial team is largely based in our Dunedin Hub, the largest office location in our network. We are open to applications from other locations but there will be an expectation that you spend some time in Dunedin with the team with a strong preference for a permanently Dunedin-based Manager. This role has become vacant due to an internal promotion. Ōu Pūkenga | About You: You’re a commercial expert who has an analytical mindset and is comfortable leveraging your skills to provide insights focused on future value streams. You’re able to challenge ideas and influence decisions and use technology, data and clear logic to develop and present complex models and ideas. Ideally, you’ll bring extensive experience from a similar role in the agriculture, farming, supply-chain or similar industry.
