The Opportunity We’re seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the execution of affordable housing developments from post-award due diligence through construction closeout and operational turnover. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented role designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in real estate development. You’ll work closely with experienced Development Project Managers and gain exposure to the full lifecycle of complex, impactful projects. What You’ll Do Project Execution & Coordination • Support projects through due diligence, design, permitting, construction, and closeout • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, attorneys, and local agencies • Track schedules, milestones, and critical path items • Assist with permitting, utilities, easements, and jurisdictional approvals • Help manage design updates and consultant deliverables Construction & Closeout • Participate in Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings and track action items • Support construction administration, including change orders and draw processes • Monitor progress and flag risks related to schedule, budget, or coordination • Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and turnover to operations • Coordinate with Finance and Property Management during lease-up preparation Project Controls & Documentation • Maintain project trackers, logs, budgets, and schedules • Organize lender, investor, and regulatory documentation • Ensure accurate and well-maintained project files Collaboration & Communication • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners • Coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-ups • Support cross-functional collaboration across Development, Finance, Construction, and Property Management Growth & Development This role is built as a pipeline to Project Manager.
