Description Position Summary: The Commercial Operations Associate plays a key role in keeping orders moving and customers informed. Sitting at the intersection of Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, this person owns the order lifecycle from acknowledgment through delivery — ensuring accurate data, timely communication, and a smooth customer experience at every step. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to build a strong foundation in business operations, with direct exposure to how commercial, manufacturing, and supply chain functions work together. The position provides hands-on experience in order management, commercial operations, and cross-functional project coordination, with clear visibility into how sales, production, and logistics align to drive business outcomes. Individuals in this role will have opportunities to take on expanded responsibilities and progress into more advanced roles within the commercial or operations organization based on performance and business needs. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on order status, shipping timelines, and general inquiries via phone and email Manage order entry and maintenance in the ERP system, maintaining accuracy across all tracking tools and documentation Issue order acknowledgments and proactively communicate updates, delays, or changes to customers Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to gather order details and resolve issues Monitor shipments and flag delivery risks early, owning resolution and customer communication Support quote generation for spare and replacement parts in partnership with the Sales team Provide operational support to the Sales & Marketing department as needed Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 1–3 years of experience in customer service, order management, or a related operations or customer facing role Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to ERP systems Experience in project management Core Competencies & Behaviors: Strong written and verbal communication Customer-first mindset with a bias toward follow-through Comfortable managing multiple open orders and competing priorities Detail-oriented with a high standard for data accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus Collaborative team player who can work across departments and escalate effectively
