Job Description Position Summary The Commercial Operations Business Partner serves as a critical connection point between the Commercial and Finance teams, ensuring that forecast and pipeline information is accurately captured, analyzed, and communicated. This role supports financial alignment and data transparency across the organization through routine reporting, system updates, and collaboration with Commercial Leadership. The position will directly support the Sales Vice Presidents (3) across four (4) commercial teams and will work closely with Finance to ensure consistent data transfer and reporting that will inform data-driven insights that inform strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Partner with Commercial Leaders to collect, validate, and communicate forecast and pipeline data to Finance partners on a regular cadence. Maintain and update core commercial reporting tools and data sets, including Workday Adaptive Planning, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce.com, Tableau, and PowerPoint. Provide feedback into development teams on expectations from leadership on reporting tools to feed into continuous improvement Perform data entry, validation, and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and consistency of commercial data across multiple systems. Generate and distribute recurring and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations to summarize sales and forecast performance. Support the development and standardization of reporting templates and processes to enhance efficiency and data reliability. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Commercial Operations to resolve data discrepancies and strengthen communication between teams. Maintain file version control, documentation, and data integrity across all reporting systems. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Commercial Operations, focused on better visibility and automation of commercial and financial data. Compile and maintain KPI scorecards and implement tracking systems for each commercial team Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). MBA Preferred 5+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, or financial planning support roles. Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis), PowerPoint, Salesforce.com, Tableau, and Workday Adaptive Planning (or similar FP&A systems). Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously. Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to convey complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to prepare executive-level presentations Preferred: Experience supporting multi-line commercial or sales organizations within life sciences, technology, or industrial sectors. Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and FP&A data integration and automation processes. Working knowledge of Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools.
