What you will be doing This role is a 12-months Fixed Term maternity cover. As a Commercial Performance Business Partner, you will provide business partnering to key divisions within Auckland Airport by utilising investigative analytical skills, financial modelling, business casing, and reporting skills to facilitate the company wide budgeting, business planning and effective commercial decision making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and our Executive Leadership Team to drive commercial and operational performance. Your key responsibilities include: building strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders at different levels across the business. ensure alignment of corporate strategy with business activities and investments. provide high-quality decision support analysis to feed into the development of strategic initiatives, business casings and feasibility studies. provide and enhance commercial performance reporting and insights to key stakeholders. provide robust guidance and challenge on revenue, opex and capex activities and the associated financial outcomes. assist with requirements for the design and user acceptance testing of finance tools and systems What you’ll bring to the role At Auckland Airport, we are a busy hive of activity, and a lot of what we look for is how you would align with our AKL values All In | Tātou tatou – How we feel, Know How | Kōkiri Tahi – How we think and Let’s Go | Karawhiua – How we act. Bring your strong business partnering skills to key divisions within Auckland Airport by utilising investigative analytical skills, project management, financial modelling, and reporting skills to facilitate the company wide budgeting, business planning and reforecasting processes. To ensure your success in this role, you will need: Tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in an accounting, finance, analytical or a business-related field 10+ years of experience in a commercial or performance-focused role, ideally with some exposure to IT or Digital sectors Proven ability to work with Power BI and Excel at an advanced level, with a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting Excellent analytical and research skills, knowledge, and experience Financial modelling and business casing capability Proven relationship management / interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to effectively prioritise workload across multiple stakeholders Experience in forecasting and/or reporting on FTE / labour costs Demonstrated experience in challenging the status quo with an ability to find and offer alternative solutions About us From the arrival of the Tainui Waka into the Manukau Harbour, Auckland Airport has always been a place of journeys.
