Description
Description Plumbers II are responsible for cutting, gluing, welding, and other installations means and methods for piping, fixtures, and other plumbing systems. Ensure quality control is applied & implemented for the operation of all plumbing systems. Travel as needed is required. Requirements Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive) Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders. Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures. Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, water softeners, etc.; install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment. Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems. Plan, install and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls, test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks. Receive and complete work orders. Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates. Maintain accurate records on material and labor used. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials. Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean. Work with supervisors to complete projects. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Learn quickly and adapt to a variety of technology, tools, instructions, and task methods. Meet deadlines in terms of work assignment schedules. Interact daily in person with other members of the department and school district staff and possess comfortable interpersonal skills and cooperative attitudes. Maintain consistent attendance due to the urgent nature of duties and because work product of position is interdependent with that of other staff. Convey an understanding, patient attitude toward others. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to complete Form I-9 upon hire. Employment subject to E-Verify confirmation. Must be able to travel to multiple construction sites within the U.S. and present acceptable identification for security or travel purposes. Reliable transportation and ability to meet job-site access requirements. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent required. OSHA 30 Certification required. 7 plus years of experience is required. Physical Requirements Required to stand, walk, and sit. Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone. Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls. Reach with hand (s) and arm (s). Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds. CMSFOR1
